St Michael’s Hospice opened a new charity shop at West Street in Alresford just before Christmas.

It has restored a Grade II listed building by unveiling its fireplace, replacing the floors and repainting.

There are second-hand women’s, men’s and children’s clothes, accessories, books and bric-a-brac.

Colin Tanner, St Michael’s Hospice’s retail business manager, said: “We are excited to introduce our new store to Alresford.

“We have a wonderful variety of items, all of which have been generously donated by our local community to support the local community that needs the vital hospice care that St Michael’s Hospice provides every day.”

All profits from St Michael’s Hospice charity shops support people across north Hampshire who have a life-limiting illness, are facing the end of life or are experiencing bereavement.
