Luke Warren has enjoyed a four-some morning in Bordon as the Oakmoor School student has finished top of the class on a record-breaking day.

The student picked up a four grade 9s and a further three 8s in a memorable morning off Budds Lane.

It’s also been a day to remember for its headteacher Nigel Wright and his staff at the school has achieved its best ever results.

The percentage of students achieving grades 5 to 9 and the highest 7 to 9s across all subjects has been the highest in the school’s history.

Arthur Bowles was another standout performer after achieving three grade 9s in addition to four 8s and a single 7. But every student deserves a pat on their back for their hard work according to their happy headteacher.

Mr Wright said: “I am incredibly proud of all our students – congratulations to them all.

“It has been wonderful to see so many happy faces in school today. These grades are the result of real dedication and effort, and it’s fantastic to see that recognised.”

Jennese Alozie, CEO of the University of Chichester Academy Trust which oversees Oakmoor, added her congratulations to the school and its students.

She said: “Congratulations to everyone at Oakmoor for securing such impressive results.

“Most importantly, well done to all of the young people celebrating today. They have shown determination and resilience, and should feel very proud of all they have achieved.”
