POPULAR Alton broadcaster Paul Le Feuvre has died at home after a long illness. He was 72.
A stalwart of hospital and community radio, and well known for his compere activities, Mr Le Feuvre, who died on Sunday, was one of Alton’s characters.
Passionate about the power of radio to reach out to so many, he will also be known by many as the familiar voice behind the microphone at the Herald Classic Car Show, the Alton Lions Party in the Park, the switching-on of the Christmas Lights, Proms in the Park, and the Froyle Fete.
Generous with his time, a friend said Mr Le Feuvre always went the extra mile to help others and he will be sadly missed.
