A blooming amazing period will end next weekend as an East Hampshire garden could be opened for charity for the last time as its owner is selling up.

Wheatley House owner Susannah Adlington has raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes over the years through the National Open Garden Scheme (NGS).

The garden of her property between Binsted and Kingsley is a perennial favourite with last year’s event raising nearly £3,500 for charity, with Marie Curie Cancer Care and MacMillan Nurses being the main beneficiaries.

The 1.5 acre garden with its sweeping borders and spectacular colours will be open from 1.30pm to 5.30pm next Saturday (August 16) and from 12.30pm to 5pm the next day.

There will also be homemade teas with proceeds going to Binsted Church while a host of local crafts and products will be showcased.

Entry to the garden at GU35 9PA is £6 and well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
