POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was left with a broken collar bone.

A 56-year-old member of Farnham Road Club was taking part in a time trial from The Bull at Bentley down the A31 towards Alton.

He was negotiating the Holybourne roundabout, to head back to Bentley, at around 7.20pm on Tuesday, May 25, when he was passed by a car. The vehicle pulled in front of him and braked hard, forcing him to take evasive action.

He fell off his bike, suffering a broken collar bone, cuts and bruises.
