Santa’s reindeer went to Specsavers Alton this year for the Christmas lights on their sleigh.
Specsavers joined other businesses to fund the illuminations, with the opticians’ efforts going towards the reindeer and a sleigh at the Assembly Rooms.
Cllr Annette Eyre, Alton’s Town Mayor, said: ‘Alton Town Council are very grateful to Specsavers Alton for sponsoring our Christmas reindeer decorations this year.
“Their contribution helps bring a little extra magic to the town, and it’s wonderful to see local businesses playing such an active role in creating a festive atmosphere for everyone.”
Specsavers Alton also ran a colouring competition for local schools. The children were given the opportunity to colour in some festive designs, with the winner receiving a £30 Specsavers voucher.
Tracey Reeves, store manager at Specsavers Alton, said: “Christmas is a time for community and spreading joy, so we were delighted to run a competition to help get local schoolchildren feeling more festive and take part in some fun Christmas colouring.”
