THE annual charity car boot sale at Brockwood Park in Bramdean, near Alresford, will be revving up to welcome buyers once more on Bank Holiday Monday (August 27).

Villager Caroline Stanley has run this popular event for more than 30 years and all proceeds will go to family support charity Home-Start Winchester, which also covers the Alresford area.

Cars, vans and trailers are charged £10 and £15 entry respectively and shoppers gain entry by donation. Gates open at 8am and refreshments will be available for what promises to be a hectic morning of buying and selling.

The Home-Start Winchester team will have their own stall to raise funds for the charity’s work and car booters can bring their own vehicles and sell, or leave items for sale at the charity’s stall just inside the gate.

“Let’s hope the weather stays dry,” said Caroline, who has supported Home-Start for many years with her fundraising and volunteering to help struggling young families.

Signs to the car boot can be found off the A272 at Bramdean (SO24 0LQ).
