STUDENTS at Eggar’s School embarked on an exciting venture – entering the notoriously challenging Lego League Mindstorms competition, otherwise known as Trash Trek.
The team set about working on project preparation, as well as robot programming, and rose valiantly to the challenge at Winchester Science Centre as they competed against 23 teams from other schools.
Although victory eluded them, the Alton students (pictured) did each receive the Bronze Science Crest Award and returned to school brimming with enthusiasm for the next challenge.
The school thanked Veolia, in particular Darren Carling and Paul Marsh, for their inspirational support with the project.
