A NUMBER of landlords in the area are celebrating after being selected for the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2016.

The Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide is the complete book for beer lovers and said to be a “must-have” for anyone wanting to experience the UK’s finest pubs.

It is revised and updated each year and features pubs across the country that serve the best real ale.

Nigel Chubb, landlord of The Eight Bells (Alton), David Scholes and Melanie Hatch, hosts at The Golden Pheasant (Farringdon), Darren and Anna Hooker, proprietors of The Queens Head (Holybourne), Adam Neller, in charge of The Railway Arms (Alton)and Hatty Croft, acting manager at The Star Inn (Bentley) and Millie Piper-Knight and Gill Manning-Smith at The Three Horseshoes (East Worldham) made the cut to be listed for the next year.
