FATHER Christmas and his team of lively helpers were a key attraction at Alton's Yuletide Festival on Sunday. Pictured with the jolly red-coated fellow are the storyteller, Uncle Holly, with fairytale characters Cruella de Ville and Snow White, and Santa's right-hand present wrappers – the pixie and the elf. Hundreds of children queued outside the Assembly Rooms to pay Santa a visit in his grotto, to receive a present and enjoy the magic of Christmas.
