All the copies of Hugh Bethell’s Get Off The Couch Before It’s Too Late stocked by Waterstones in Alton were snapped up soon after his appearance there to promote the book on December 8.

Fortunately it can be obtained from the author for £12.50, including postage and packing, by emailing [email protected]

Hugh, director of the Staywell Programme at Cardiac Rehab in Alton, said: “This book explains exactly how exercise affects our bodies and its crucial role in preventing and treating many of the conditions that beset us as we advance in age – obesity, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure and more.”
