THE Proteus Theatre Company brought a sparkle to the New Year with a production, at Alton Assembly Rooms, of The Snow Queen.
The travelling company, from Basingstoke, which has entertained Altonians for the past few years with such gems as Colonel Cody, Around the World in 80 Days and Daughter of Aurora, returned to Alton on Sunday with their own version of the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale.
