THE Alresford Agricultural Show takes place tomorrow at Tichborne Park.
Open to the public from 9am to 6pm, there will be livestock judging, vintage and modern machinery, food and farming marquees, poultry and egg show, dog show, ferret racing, birds of prey, and bees.
Arena events will include show jumping showing, Pony Club relay, heavy horses, private driving, Hampshire Hunt, and pig racing.
It is a special year for the Alresford and District Horticultural Society as they will be celebrating their 70th anniversary with a competition marquee, offering more than 150 classes ranging from crafts, cookery and photography to children’s classes, as well as classes for flowers, fruit and vegetables.
There will be more than 150 trade, craft and produce stands, music, children’s activities, refreshments, and plenty of free on-site parking. Admission is £15 for adults, £13 concessions and £5 for children aged 11 to 16, while children aged 10 and under go free when accompanied by a paying adult.
