POLICE are investigating after tools worth £9,000 were stolen from a company in Oakhanger.

Thieves broke into Oakhanger Joinery at the Binswood View Business Centre overnight between 9pm on Wednesday, September 30, and 7.45am on Thursday, October 1.

They broke in through a rear fire exit door and stole a large amount of hand and electrical tools along with a small safe containing some petty cash. A vehicle was driven into a field behind the building to load the items into.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area that night or has any information about the thefts should call PC Peter Wilkinson at Alton police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
