Tom Horwood keeps Alton Town Council running smoothly as town clerk by day - but every Thursday night he’s on air as a DJ for Alton-based Wey Valley Radio.

Tom presents The Classical Wey, an hour-long show from 9pm to 10pm showcasing classical and orchestral music from across the ages.

He said: “It’s popular classics, a few surprises and some new compositions from time to time.”

The “a few surprises” category could be applied to the latest episode, broadcast on July 23 and available to listen to on the Wey Valley Radio website.

With the World Cup still fresh in everyone’s minds, this World Cup-themed show featured pieces by composers from all four nations which reached the semi-finals - England, France, Spain and Argentina.
