ALTON Town Council is to consider a request by Hampshire County Council to develop shared management for Alton Assembly Rooms and the Curtis Museum and Allen Gallery.

As the three-year agreement between Hampshire County Council and the Hampshire Museums and Galleries Trust over the management of Alton's two museum sites draws to a close, the race is on to find a workable replacement.
