Four Marks Care held the centrepiece of its 50th birthday celebrations at Four Marks Village Hall on June 7.
Across the day 100 Four Marks Care clients attended a coffee morning and a tea and cake party, with singalong songs provided by the Alton Uke3A and Friends ukulele band.
A spokesperson for Four Marks Care said: “As well as our thanks going to the band for their contribution, we would also like to thank the Four Marks Lunch Club, without whose help and support the event would not have happened. A huge thank you to Barbara, Ian, Jane, Karen and Sally.”
Four Marks Care is a voluntary organisation whose members drive Four Marks residents without their own transport to GP surgeries, dentists and hospitals.
Raffle prizes were donated by the drivers, the lunch club and local businesses Arrows Off-licence, Bonny Blue Florist, Cato Computers, Clementines, China Garden, Field and Country Grooming, Garthowen Garden Centre, Hattingley Valley, Naked Grape, Nosh, N W Read, Rivers, The Saffron Tandoori Restaurant, Two Acres Nursery and the Willow and Sage florist.
The spokesperson added: “Thank you to all the Four Marks Care clients who attended. From the feedback on the day and since, you clearly enjoyed the occasion.”
