INTREPID pumpkin growers braved the wind and rain to attend Alton Horticultural Society's weigh-in at the Assembly Rooms on Saturday.

Despite most being grown from the same kit, the pumpkins came in all shapes and sizes, brought along for the fun of it by children and the young at heart as part of Alton in Bloom Plant the Pumpkin.
