A WOMAN was attacked in an alleyway in Alton on Sunday.

Two women had been in The Weybridge public house on the High Street and left together. When they reached the alleyway next to the Curtis Museum, linking Crown Hill with Drayman's Way, a 50-year-old from Alton sustained a biten arm, bruised leg and a scratched face.

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until November 9.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 2.15pm and 3.15pm.

Pc Jonathan Duggan, said: "I'd particularly like to speak to a woman who was seen by the alleyway."
