THEY had hoped to raise £2,000 for Cancer Research UK with their “Party in Pink” zumbathon which attracted a healthy 120 dancers to Amery Hill School in Alton.
But on Friday, the cheque Kate Sadler and fellow zumba instructors Mandy Wilson, Tracye Jarrold, Dayana Sanchez and Alison Edwards will be sending off the the charity is a whopping £5,450.
As they posed for a photograph with their cheque, Kate said how pleased they were to have more than doubled their target and how grateful they were to all those who had joined in the dancing, acted as sponsors, or sent donations.
“We chose Cancer Research UK because cancer is something that affects so many people, either sufferers or their family and friends,” she said.
