There was a great turn-out for Haslemere Tennis Club’s ever-popular monthly tournament and barbecue which was blessed by fine weather. The tournament is structured to enable all standards and ages of player to enjoy a morning of tennis, followed by a lunchtime barbecue. The competition was won by Lynda Mercian, with David Sadler a close runner-up and Garry Stoner in third spot. The post-lunch events were more light-hearted, ‘Clown Tennis’ and ‘Beat the Coach’ being amongst the favourites.
