East Worldham is one of 90 locations across the UK to receive a Penguin Books Little Book Stop as part of the publisher’s 90th birthday celebrations.

This free community book exchange, on the corner of Blanket Street and Caker Lane opposite The Three Horseshoes, was launched with 25 titles for adults and children donated by Penguin.

The Evans family, landlords of The Three Horseshoes, applied for it and will serve as custodians.

Mark and Alison Evans said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen. Books bring people together in a powerful way. They start conversations, entertain families and offer comfort in difficult times.

“We hope this Little Book Stop becomes a place where friendships form, imaginations grow and the joy of reading is shared by everyone.”
