Quotes have been sought for an earth bund to prevent unwanted visitors from pitching up on a cricket field in one of East Hampshire’s largest villages.
The early July encampment on the Four Marks cricket field was one of the big talking points when parish councillors held their monthly meeting in the village hall.
While councillors felt the matter been dealt with “swiftly and conclusively” some felt a less confrontational approach may have been preferrable.
Members also queried what FMPC could do to improve provision of legal sites for travellers locally with a working party of five councillors due to review policy and make recommendations at next month’s full council meeting.
Construction of an earth bund next to Benians Pavilion is also being considered.
