MEMBERS of Alton and Andover Inner Wheel clubs met for their annual summer outing at the Longstock Water Gardens, near Stockbridge.
A leisurely walk enabled appreciation of the many water plants and wildlife which could be seen on the lake.
Bought in 1940 by John Lewis, the garden has been designed over the years by various gardeners employed by the John Lewis company.
After the walk, lunch was enjoyed at the nearby garden centre.
A stroll round the garden centre known for its Buddlea collection completed the day.
Alton was grateful to Andover for arranging the visit and look forward to another get together next year.
