HAMPSHIRE and Isle of Wight’s air ambulance was called to Alton last Tuesday after a man suffered severe cuts after falling through a window.

The helicopter landed just off Basingstoke Road and took the injured man to hospital.

“We were called at 3.53pm on Tuesday to reports of a male falling and in doing so his arm going through a window pane,” a South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said.

“This resulted in severe lacerations and heavy bleeding. We sent an ambulance and the air ambulance with a doctor on board. The patient was transported to hospital.”
