A former nurse has been ordered to pay compensation after twice damaging the back door of an Alton house in the same day in a drink-fuelled rage.

Basingstoke Magistrates heard police found Anna Rosier “screaming and shouting” at a house on April 15 after learning of a suspected affair.

The 68-year-old of Victoria Road, who was thought to be under the influence of drink at the time, was voluntarily remanded after smashing the pane to a back door.

But she returned to the same property a short while later, using a discarded wine bottle to smash another pane.

A tearful Rosier was ordered to pay £300 in compensation after pleading guilty on Tuesday (May 20) to one count of criminal damage.
