CHAWTON Park Surgery has lost its appeal to operate a 40-hour pharmacy at the western end of Alton.

Practice manager Margaret Lockett said that while it will continue to operate a dispensary for those patients who live outside the town, the aim was to expand the service to embrace the other two-thirds.
