PLANS by the Treloar Trust to facilitate the amalgamation of lower and upper school provision on the college site in Holybourne got the 'thumbs down' from Alton Town Council's planning committee.

Following a site visit, councillors at last month's committee meeting supported residents in their concerns over the proposals.
