Fourteen bicycle stands have been installed at Alton’s green open spaces thanks to grant funding from East Hampshire district councillor Richard Platt.

The black hoops are at Holybourne play park, The Butts, Anstey play park, the Flood Meadows, Jubilee Fields and Kings Pond. They were installed by Alton Town Council at locations suggested by Cycle Alton.

Cycle Alton supporter Chris Chappell said: “These are just what we need. They are very sturdy and well set into the ground. These will help to encourage us to get out on our bikes, meet up with friends and enjoy the fresh air.”
